While back in Berlin german indiepop was put to school by bands like Virginia Jetzt! and Sofaplanet Porous unswervingly would play english coloured guitar pop. Truly, Germany hadn`t heard anything as charming since Subterfuge or Miles. breezy songs, smelling like summer and beeing in love. Never shallow. Somewhere between euphoria and melancholy. The record didn`t leave my player that summer. I had fallen in love. Their fine sense of catchy melodies and mature songwriting is to be heard on their first album Day My Friend (firestation Rec./Al!ve) out on April 19th.
