LOUBISTOK (love potion') is a female group comprising five musicians and singers, conducted by Oksana Melnychuk. It was formed five years ago in Lviv, the most important city in western Ukraine, founded in the thirteenth century, which still has a very rich culture and is home to many music groups, both traditional and classical. The compositions on this album are basically traditional Ukrainian pieces, influenced by Russian culture.
