Ghost Monkey
Ghost Monkey is the sound project of Finnish electronic artist Polyfonken, also the producer of polyfonsoundlab.
Ghost Monkey's 2001 debut album Tea For Miss Yamaha had a small, self-published vinyl release, but the tracks were also made available for free download on polyfonken.com. Tea For Miss Yamaha gained some notoriety when it was featured as the soundtrack for Zen Bound, an award-winning and critically acclaimed iPhone game. Since then there have been some other notable releases, such as the 2004 Travel Sampler EP.
Polyfonken described Ghost Monkey as "homemade music for slow days, for coming home late at night, head swimming with sounds, turning the tv to static and listening to soothing sounds," with the end result being "some kind of adult-oriented downtempo."
