DEBORAH MAGONE, a native of Rochester, N.Y. hopped on a plane to L.A. at the urging of an A & R rep. from Epic records N.Y. who said that, ".....she has the potential to become something very BIG!" At a mere 5'3'' (5'4" on a good hair day) at first glance this hardly seems likely. However, listener beware! This little " Rock Blues Mama" can belt a tune in the style of Big Mama Thornton , Janis Joplin, & Ann Wilson , or soothe your soul in the vein of Billie Holiday. Often compared to Joplin, Deborah blends it all together to form her own "whimsical and walloping" vocal style.
