Amphitrite, hailing from Cape Fear, NC, is an experimental rock duo similar in style to The Melvins, Boris, Torche, a pinch of Sonic Youth and Queens of The Stone Age. They formed in 2010 by husband and wife: Johnny and Angela Yeagher (both formerly of doom metal band, Wastelands Of Deceit and earlier on punk rock n roll band Ironhead). Their debut album will be released on their own DIY label, Neried Records sometime early in 2011. Look for it on vinyl and cassette. For now you can download their songs FOR FREE here on Last.
