Quinto Criollo
El 21 de mayo de 1971 nace en Maracaibo, guiada por Ivan Burgos, la agrupación vocal Quinto Criollo. Inicialmente, sus integrantes pertenecían a la Coral Navideña del maestro Luis Soto Villalobos (pianista). El Quinteto Contrapunto fue la inspiración para su fundación y perseguían seguir su senda con arreglos vocales propios. En sus comienzos, las presentaciones se efectuaban en los recintos de nuestra ilustre Universidad del Zulia.
