STEVE ROACH has recorded nearly 30 albums since 1981. Two of Roach's most recent projects were nominated into the Top 5 albums of 1995 by NAIRD: the artist's latest solo disc Artifacts, and Earth Island, the second venture by Roach's collaborative trio SUSPENDED MEMORIES, with Suso Saiz and Jorge Reyes. Earth Island won the top award in its category. From his base in Tucson, Arizona, Roach travels worldwide to present his music in concert, where he combines ancient and contemporary instruments in an atmosphere of ritualistic intensity.
