Formés en 1989 et émigrés à Bordeaux en 1993, aux avant-postes d'une scène locale en plein renouveau les Sleeppers sortent 3 démos qui aboutiront en 1995 à l'élaboration de leur 1er album "Illogical Moody Mind" et leurs permettra d'assurer les premières parties de Bastard, Kepone, Today is the Day, Gober Patrol, NRA, ... Après un Maxi 4 titres, "Noise Pollution", ils frappent de nouveau quelques mois plus tard, les esprits curieux avec un second L.
