OS Arun is a well accomplished singer who is also an expert singer fetched attention from all over for his `full and loud and deep` voice. O.S. Vaidyanathan is popular as Arun. Today he has been reckoned as one of the highly appreciable gifted Carnatic Musicians in the Country. O.S. Arun was born into a family where music has been idolized. He has been inducted to the field of music in the Parivar Parampara. His father Vidwan O.V. Subramaniam gave him the introductory lessons on music. In the later years he obtained Alankar Purna from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.
