Hart's Asleep is a one man project that has been in mild development with origins beginning around the end of 2007, with increased attention during the latter months of 2008 and into 2009. The idea began as a simple means of self-treatment for Joshua Hart's chronic insomnia. After month's of sleepless nights, Joshua began searching for music that aided in the nightly "come-down" prior to attempting to sleep. Despite the vast number of sub-genre's within the Ambient and Minimal music categories he was unable to find any acts that possessed all of his ideal traits.
