Violent Karma

Violent Karma

Violent Karma was formed in April 2010 by Retro Johansson. He met drummer Elaine Davies whilst on University placement and after jamming in the school halls, they felt a huge potential. Next, Retro contacted long time friend and classmate Russ Furmston to take the position of bass. With the backline complete the only position still to be filled was that of rhythm guitarist and vocalist. While the band tightened up the final member of the band was on his way back from America having spent the year studying there. Coben added his guitar to the mix to fatten out the sound and the group became official in early July of 2010. They played their first gig barely a month later, with their second the very next night. Since then the band has gone from strength to strength and their gigging diary has snowballed with a now full tour schedule. Changes have been made with the vocal duties passed to Russ Furmston, but the band has never ceased to push forward.

The band aim for a hard, in your face rock sound, while taking influence from their individual styles. The band has been compared favourably to artists including Black Stone Cherry, Audioslave, Rush and Metallica. Violent Karma aim to make each song better than the last, with a focus on live performance and the ethos of the greats from the 70's and 80's.

The band have released their first album "Born Too Late" Which is available on iTunes and Amazon mp3.

All the best, and remember never stop rocking!!
