Crossfires are a disgustingly adept group of low-rent surferboys obviously fried on legendary doses of amphetamine who're constantly crashing into each other with dueling sax parts and sick double-picked deltone breaks, but not only do they also do probably the best version of "Justine" to grace cheap 45, they're also play masterfully laid-back, cutting, classic surf rhythms so fantastic that it boggles the mind when you realize... this band later metamorphosed into the Turtles (of "Happy Together" infamy.)
