Sugar and Gold combine classic harmony songwriting with a hook heavy dance music approach making for a sound that draws from 30 years of electronic and soul music, yet is thoroughly modern. San Francisco based, they are quickly making a name for themselves as one of the hottest live tickets in town, their raucous sets never failing to get even the most uptight teasers on the dancefloor.
The band spent much of 2005 and 2006 recording in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and performing everywhere in between. From sweaty basements in Brooklyn to outdoor festivals in California, Sugar and Gold has been refining their sound and building their base, one audience at a time.
