Bye Polar Bear started from the ashes of Somethin' Like That, a southwest Kansas alt-rock band featuring past members of The Daily Grind and Allied Health. It is now the collaborative project of a songwriter/producer in Tempe, AZ. Combining electronics and acoustic sounds with macrospective lyrics, Bye Polar Bear is the latest in a long line of indie, lo-fi artists. The band is heavily influenced by Neutral Milk Hotel, Magnetic Fields and Big Audio Dynamite, among many others.
