Atajo is a Bolivian rockband wich started in 1996. Their songs are mostely political protestsongs and they are using a lot of typical Bolivian folkloric instruments and traditional songs to various from other rockbands. With their songs they are trying to wake up the people from Bolivia and the rest of the world and let them see the problems in the poor country. The frontman of the group is Panchi Maldonado. He writes the songs and is the singer of the group. He also plays the acustic guitar.
