Born in 1979, Niel played the drums in the early years of his life. The first contact with house music came around 1990, when the first successful house tunes reached the charts in Holland. From that time on, he was instantly hooked on the straight electronic nature of the harder tracks made that time. Niel was fortunate to grow up in Rotterdam, where he had the change to witness the development of hardcore house in its first form.
