Dusky Diana got her start out as a back up singer in La Mayor Salsa. It was all salsa, merengue, and cumbia until college. There, at the University of the Arts, she majored in musical theater and show tunes took over her life. She had a successful four year stint in regional theater, modeling, and television, before changing disciplines. The producers of Community Education found her wailing at a jam session and began to always include her in their recordings, and encouraging her to compose.
