Similar to instrumental artists Jim O'Rourke, Kaki King, and Greg Davis, Animatronique's music is both atmospheric and compelling in nature. While solo acoustic guitar compositions are the nucleus of the music, the songs are furnished with haunting samples, ethereal electric guitars, and dynamic percussive elements that combine to create elaborate soundscapes.

The debut album "Stasis" is a collection of songs that run the gamut from peaceful and introspective to distorted and pugnacious. Some moments are poetic, with lyrical melodies and lush instrumentation, while others are noise-laden and aggressive. The unifying factor is the cinematic quality at the heart of each piece.
