Puritan
There are at least four bands named Puritan: 1) Hardcore band from U.S. 2) Post Rock band from U.S. 3) Progressive rock band from U.K. 4) Doom metal band from Finland (The Puritan) 5) A musical from U.S. 1) Puritan was a sludge/hardcore band from State College, PA. They featured future members of Hassan I Sabbah, Otesanek, Serpent Throne and Jail. They released a Demo Cassette (1996), a split 7" with December (1996), a split 12" with Reversal of Man (1996), and a split 7" with Officer Down in 1997. They also had a song on the "From Stars Come Hearts" compilation 7" on Witching Hour (1997).
