Annie Golden

Annie Golden

Annie Golden was a member of Brooklyn band The Shirts (along with Arthur La Monica, Ronald Ardito, Robert Racioppo, John Criscione & John Piccolo.) The band recorded three albums (The Shirts - 1978, Streetlight Shine - 1979 & Inner Sleeve - 1980) before breaking up in 1984.

She played the role of Jeannie in the movie "Hair" (1979) and can be heard on the soundtrack album singing "Air" - one of the songs from the stage version that doesn't appear in the film.

In 1990, she teamed up with guitarist Frank Carillo, creating the duo of Golden Carillo. They recorded two albums, "Fire In New Town" and "Toxic Emotion" for Silenz Records.

She has appeared in both in films & TV, in a number of character roles - notably as Margaret 'Maggie' O'Keefe (Cliff's girlfriend) in Cheers. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
