Onkel Kånkel are prominently known for their provocative lyrics where they make fun of everything from homosexuals and pedophiles to Nazis and handicapped people. The genre they have created is often called "könsrock" (genital rock) in their origin country of Sweden.
Although they're widely known in Sweden for their shock value they have never sold many records. Nowadays however, the internet has spread Onkel Kånkel to new generations.
