Boston indie/progressive rock band PILES, formed in 2004. Plies (born Algernod Lanier Washington on July 1, 1976) is an American rapper from Fort Myers, Florida. Plies graduated from Fort Myers High School in 1994 and began pursuing his rap career soon after. Washington chose the name Plies after a slang term in Fort Myers referring to drug dealers making money. OR to PILES - San Francisco rock band with members of Numbers.
