Apsis Lappet is the solo project of Nate Kitchens, after the break up of his previous two bands, Instant Wonton in 2008 and Koi Pond in Hell in August 2009. Growing up in Texas, and starting to produce music in high school for a local recording studio, Nate started experimenting with distorting recorded tracks, and started compiling tracks. Nate's first band was the short lived Babies on Fire with a friend from college, and quickly formed Koi Pond in Hell as a side project when Babies on Fire couldn't continue anymore than it could as a concept band.
