The indie scene is a crowded one these days, and identifying what indie means can represent a challenge. But with a combination of all their favourite influences, from Grouplove to Green Day, from The Libertines to Joshua James, The Kaleurs (pronounced The Colours) have found an approach that makes their music stand out in this misconceived genre. The band, formed in 2011 by Nik Birkemeyer and Joe Brocklehurst as a two-piece acoustic band, is now recording their debut album as full band.
