Corcholata was a band of the rock fusion genre, borned in Queretaro Mexico in 1998. most people use to say that it was a response to the nu metal boom of that decade, often comparing them to bands like Korn or Mexican band Resorte. With Lyrics that tend to estimulate the introspection of the youngster to the encounter within himself.

History

It all came together in December of 1998, with their first demo "Como quieras" which had 8 songs. After touring along Mexico, in 2000 they had problems with their drummer and had a lineup change and a new demo named "Analogo / Inercia" which sold around 1500 units in only independent sales. Touring alongside important Mexican bands, they managed to place Queretaro city as an artistic open city with lot of potential in rock music, with bands like "Render","No sé", "Marioneta", "Antiqua", "Colchon" , etc...

At 2002 they recorded their first album called "El Ruido de las letras" which opened doors to the mainstream with a video of the single "Besos para la luna"... However, after several difficulties while recording their next album they decided to split and manage to work with different projects each.
