A Replika 1994 nyarán alakult Debrecenben. Az első demo ?95 februárjában jelent meg “Testek” címmel, amely igényes kivitelezése és a kritika pozitív reakciója révén lehetővé tette a kazetta széles körű terjesztését. Az 1995-ös év elsősorban előzenekarozással telt el, melyben nagy segítséget nyújtott a Tankcsapda zenekar illetve akkori menedzserük Kémeri Péter. Az önálló koncertek és a nyári fesztiválok is jelentős eredményt hoztak a zenekar munkájában.
