From Whidbey Island, WA, around the world to Olympia, WA. Twig Palace was tucked between the unmended seams of denim pockets. It was held by the dangling ribbon of a balloon, and carried far from the places we now know. If plumes could nestle among the crevices, we would hear the air escape the feathers. And in this way, we may uncover the salt hidden beneath the skin. We may unhinge her lid and let the good things spill out of her, leaving only the terrycloth and wherewithall to clasp together her two hands.
