There are at least three bands under this name. 1) 'The Fairytale' were a little known Lancashire freak/psych beat combo on the Decca label in the mid 60s, who released two 1967 singles, 'Guess I Was Dreaming' and 'Lovely People'. 'Run & Hide', the b-side to 'Guess I Was Dreaming', is available on the album The Freakbeat Scene 2) There is also a Finnish band by the name of 'Fairytale'. 3) Fairytale was a Swedish girl band who became famous in 2002 when they performed on MGP Nordic with their song "Tills Natt Blir Dag" ("Until Night Becomes Day").
