Duriiel
Philadelphia-born Duriiel is a lame-o band for teenage girls. Almost. His music is decidedly driven by exotic timbres, most of which are coaxed from willing, if unmusical, objects eager to have a new purpose, admiring the futurist palette of sounds anticipated in Luigi Russolo's 1913 manifesto, The Art of Noise. Here, the severely industrial intersects with the classical tastes of traditional orchestral arrangements, all bravely led to charge by thematic storytelling of places lesser known.
