Over the 45 years of its existence, the Tapiola Choir has evolved into one of the world’s best-known and most sought-after children’s and youth choirs. The Tapiola Choir is famous for its distinctive sound, described using a term coined by music critics abroad: the Tapiola Sound. The Choir has more than 50 members, young musicians aged 9 to 18, all of whom also play at least one musical instrument in addition to singing. The Choir’s concerts often include choreography and instrumental numbers. The Choir logs some 50 performances per year in Finland and abroad.
