Irij
1. Formed in 2000 in Lviv, Ukraine, Irij (or Iрiй) is a folk doom metal band with gothic metal influences. They have so far released the Legend demo in 2002 and in 2007, a compilation of demos recorded in 2006 and 2007. On a lyrical point of view, the themes range from Slavic pagan mythology to Ukrainian folklore.
Source: Encyclopaedia Metallum: The Metal Archives 2. Irij is a one-woman-folk project brought to life by former Eluveitie violinist Meri Tadic in autumn 2006. Her compositions range from mere instrumentals all the way to a cappella songs.
