Comunalien
Comunalien, pronounced "common alien", consisted of Producer/Turntablist "Nickels Hawkeye" and Lyricist/Emcee, the late Reuben Antonio Paulson. They described their name by stating "We're Common because we're hip hop, Alien because we're Christians. We're Common cause we're Christians, Alien because we're hip hop." The duo recorded a healthy amount of material prior to Paulson's unfortunate death on May 8th 1998. There have been three albums released at this point from Comunalien: Mastifest Destiny (2001 Syntax Records)
