There is more than one artist who goes by the name Altitude: 1) Steve Gibbs was born in 1976 in Adelaide, Australia and is a classically trained musician having played the piano, guitar and violin from the age of 5. He studied Classical and Jazz Piano for 12 years before completing a diploma in Audio Engineering. In 1992 at the tender age of 16 he was hanging out in clubs and absorbing the new wave of dance music that was sweeping the underground club scene of Australia. By the time he was 18 he had begun producing and DJ'ing, playing in local clubs and raves around the country.
