The Showcase Showdown
Showcase Showdown was a pogo punk band that came out of Boston in the early 1990's. They toured the Northeast extensively and became notorious for their tongue-in-cheek songs, mostly about colonial heritage. While other punk bands were singing about punk's heyday of 1977, The Showcase went back to their roots in 1777. Showcase Showdown released only two full-length albums, "Permanent Stains" and "Appetite of Kings.
