Michael Johnson was born in Alamosa, Colorado, raised in Denver. Studied classical guitar in Spain in the mid 60's. He started his career in the Pop/AC field with his Middle of the road single "Bluer Than Blue" in '78, which hit #12 and probably his most remembered song. . 2 more top 40 singles followed in '78 & '79. By 1982 his Pop/AC career had fizzled. In early 1986 he teamed up with Sylvia and hit #9 on the Country Charts with "I Love You By Heart", thus making his entry into the country arena where he had 7 more Top 40 Country Songs...
