Jake Brennan & The Confidence Men
From http://www.jakebrennan.org Jake is from Boston. He grew up in Hardcore. Cut his teeth in Cast Iron Hike on Victory Records. Then he formed the Confidence Men and released Love and Bombs on Yep Roc Records in late 2004. The Press and the Dutch loved it. The Boston Phoenix said it sounded like Gram Parsons fronting the Attractions. Clearly there is no drug testing going on at the Boston Phoenix.
