Eliane Embrun
Eliane Embrun (1923 - 2009) was a French chanteuse, popular in the late 1940s and 1950s. Born in Argelès-Gazost, a small town in the Hautes-Pyrénées, she moved to Paris in the early 1940s, where she worked with some of the most acclaimed French band leaders of the time, including Raymond Legrand and Albert Lasry. Known for her expressive, sensual voice, her most famous songs included "Au chant des mandolines", "La semaine d’amour" and "Valse perdue".
