Cosmono (Frank Schönhofer, born 1981) lives and works in Cologne, Germany as a musician, composer and producer. He started out as a rock musician, successfully studied jazz doublebass and worked in bands that played genres like indie, jazz and world music. In 2006 he discovered the laptop as an instrument and began combining the influences he had at that time with elements of electronic music. This new playground and his preference for catchy melodies lead to a very unique pop music; never melodramatic and never trivial.
On stage Cosmono – along with three great musicians (Doro Bohr: keyboards & background vocals, Tobias Hoffman: guitars & effects, Ralf Gessler: electronic and acoustic drums) – becomes handmade electronics and digital warmth.
