What started as a side project in 2001, with four self-released EPs, has turned into a full-time musical endeavor for synth musician Damon Kelly of Gentoo. Excursions eschews the harshness of previous CL7 creations, and has found a middle ground of ambient/electronic atmospheres. Reminiscent of a '50s sci-fi movie soundtrack, Excursions explores a wide range of tones and glitch-beats to produce something with mood and presence; easily adapted to an evening lying in the yard, gazing at constellations.
