DJ Yoda hooks up with classical composer Gabriel Prokofiev in a meeting of disparate musical disciplines. Conceptualised by Will Dutta of Chimera Productions, the Concerto For Turntables & Orchestra was borne to explore the tradition of cross pollination between art music and folk/dance idioms, from the Partitas and Suites of J S Bach to Bartók's in-depth study of folk song. The album features the five movements of the concerto performed by DJ Yoda and The Heritage Orchestra, plus eleven remixes including a version from Prokofiev himself in his dubstep guise as Medasyn, besides mixes from Heavy Deviance, Monster Bobby and Kreepa.
