Kayahan (born Kayahan Acar) is a Turkish pop singer, one of the consistently best-selling musicians in Turkey. He writes all of his own material and has released more than thirteen best-selling albums during a career spanning 40 years. Kayahan was born in Izmir, on March 29th, 1949. He spent his childhood and young adulthood years in Ankara before moving to Istanbul. The songs which were written and composed by Kayahan and sung by Nilüfer are some of most well-known Turkish pop songs. Throughout his career, Kayahan sang only his songs and each album of his had a different theme.
