For the first time in his career, Scott is flying solo as both a songwriter and performer. As the primary songwriter of The Argument, Simons became adept at writing hooky pop songs with incredibly infectious melodies. The Argument was one of the top indie touring bands of the last decade, with a loyal fan base that stretched across the country. They were named one of the top ten unsigned bands in the country by the American Music Awards in 2003, due in part to that fan base, and in part to stellar songwriting and trademark keyboard-driven pop hooks.
