Mixtapes & Cellmates is a shoegaze/indie pop band from Stockholm, Sweden. They have been compared to The Radio Dept. and My Bloody Valentine. It started with a song idea, a cool synthesizer, three boys that had hardly met before, a bedroom, a basement and ended up with releasing the Juno EP in 2005. Just before the release, they found themselves facing the troubles of playing a live show and added two good friends to the line-up. In September 2006, they released their second EP: If There Is Silence, Fill It With Longing, and the following year, their self-titled debut album could be heard.
