He·mip·ter·a [hi-mip-ter-uh] Much like the musical insects they've named themselves after, Jennifer Clemente and Yanni Ehm incorporate thousands of micro sounds into lush arrangements for the dancefloor. Inspired by the pure minimalism of Japan, South American rhythms and Detroit/Berlin dub techno, the duo splits time between North Carolina and Quebec -- contributing heavily to Maxime Tanguay's Quebec City-based Pertin_Nce netlabel.
