Mjölner is the name of at least two bands: 1) A Chilean Folk Black Metal/Ambient band. 2) A Swedish Viking Rock band.
In Norse mythology, Mjölner (literally, "That which crushes") is the Hammer of Thor, the god of lightning and thunder. 1) Mjölner was created in 1994 by Doomicus, in the need to express the musical ideas that, in certain form, did not continue exactly the musical esthetics of Bewitched (Circa Hibernum In Perpetuum). An unreleased single demo was recorded on 1994 (Faraway Winterlands) originally for Bewitched's Hibernum In Perpetuum as bonus track.
