Tibetan monk / musician Lama Urgyen Dorje’s first international album, The Lake of The Lotus is produced by Jean-Michel Reusser in Paris, in 2000. As Matthieu Ricard says, “Lama Urgyen’s songs express the vision of the Great Perfection of the Nyingmapa School, the oldest in Tibetan Buddhism.” Lama Urgyen Dorje is one of the few Tibetan artists who found chance to release albums internationally and his works are a good start to get to know Tibetan music and culture.
