Ayhan Sicimoglu
More than a percussionist, Ayhan Sicimoğlu is an educator, composer, and radio and tv programmer at the same time. His first experience with percussion was during high school in the school band "Echo". In 1970 they won their first awards in the Milliyet High School Bands contest. Here, Sicimoğlu also received the "best drummer" award. Over the course of his musical journeys to Latin America, Africa, Spain, USA, Italy, and England Sicimoglu discovered many musical genres, rhythms and instruments.
