The Hydrothermal Vents is an exciting new Montreal based pop-rock-punk-dance band by John Tielli and Tessa Kautzman. John Tielli is known for his critically revered projects Metal Kites (Toronto) and Clark the Band (Ottawa), which included collaborations with Tim Kingsbury and Jeremy Gara of the Arcade Fire, as well as members of Wooden Stars, Hilotrons, Snowblink, and Phonemes. For his new project, Tielli departs from the earnestness of his previous endeavours and channels his talents toward the fun and surreal post punk inspired universe of The Hydrothermal Vents.
