Derecus (Da-Mdash) Matthews, started out exploring music with some of his friends at Jess Lanier High School. Freestyling as they called it, along with be-boxing, he began to make a name for himself. 2003, the year of graduation and enlisting in the United States Air Force Reserves; completing basic training & being assigned to his first duty station, down time was available. During this period he picked up a program called Fruity Loops, and began to master the art of making beats. Transitioning from hobby to career, (Dash)-decided to fulfill an album titled, "Floes of Etc.
