Born and raised on the mean streets of Sleeuwijk, D.J.Bass-X, AKA Mike v.d.Voort, started his musical journey when he was 15, when he got his first pc with bpm studio. It was at this moment that Mike v.d.Voort knew he wanted to be part of 'The Scene'.
He first became interested in the dance scene in 1996. In 16, aged , his Mum and Dad bought him his first set of turntables. At the age of 19, he was already being touted as Sleeuwijk's answer to Fabio. He did various warm up sets before the doors opened in clubs hosting major names such as Johan chielen, DJ Darkraver, and many more.
